The Idea!
How This Got Started
This is the brain child of Deartra D. Boone. She was working on her novel in progress and she needed some inspiration. She realized that she was more inspired to write when she had a challenge to write for, so, the Maymester Festival Writing Challenge was born.
The idea is from her days as a college professor. She taught a semester that was called Maymester. It was a fast paced semester that last about 15-days. There were assignments, activities, and writing for her classes to do.
She change this idea to be beneficial for herself during the month of May.
